It’s July 7th. I can’t believe it. It was two years ago that I decided that today would be the launch date for my new venture. I have spent many years in another industry and decided I needed a change. I knew that I needed to follow my heart, and that is exactly what I am doing today. Anyone who knows me knows that “Family” is the top priority in my life. Because of family, my passion for food developed. We are constantly gathered together around food. So many in my family are good at creating food that is delicious, memorable and worthy of record.
I love nothing more than making food for the 16 of us who gather on weekends, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations or just for the hell of it. I have made a lot of meals over the years and have been blessed by the love and camaraderie that comes about through our family feasts.
It’s not that hard to draw the family together, even if there are somewhat challenged relationships involved. Give it a try. Food heals old wounds. Stay positive. Bring people together. Start fresh. All can be made good again. I intend to include many recipes on this site that can be made alone or as a group. It’s all so much fun if everyone pitches in. Before long, you will have created a new tradition that everyone wants to be a part of and that can last for generations. It doesn’t have to be fancy. It is truly amazing what hot dogs, potato salad, and baked beans can do to cure what ails a family. Get together. Talk. Share. All can be made good again. Really. If you are part of a family who enjoys being together, it’s a no-brainer. GET TOGETHER AND COOK! It’s amazing how much fun you can have with a corn hole game or some badminton, blow some bubbles with the kids or try a sack race. The kids will never forget it, and you’ll be setting them up for many family gatherings going forward.
This site is all about family, food, entertaining, the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and elegant, simple dinners at home.
